Most verb take –s in the affirmative 3rd person singular. I live – he lives
(A legtöbb ige egyesszám 3. személyben felvesz egy s-t. Lakok – lakik)
We use doen’t + the V1 to form the negative third person singular. In all other persons we use don’t. He doesn’t live – I don’t live.
(A doesn’t-t és az ige első alakját a negatív egyesszám 3. személynél használjuk. A többi személynél a don’t-t használjuk. Ő nem lakik – Én nem lakok)
Most verbs ending in –ss, -sh, -ch, -x and -o take –es in the third person singular. I finish – he finishes.
(A legtöbb –ss, -sh, -ch, -x és –o-ra végződő ige, egyesszám 3. személyben felvesz egy –es-t. Én befejezem – ő befejezi)
Verbs ending in a consonant + y drop the –y and take –ies in the third person singular. I study – he studies.
(Az igék, melyek y-ra végződnek, és előttük mássalhangzó áll, elhagyják az y-t és ies-t vesznek fel. Tanulok – tanul.)
We use present simple for permanent states, repeated actions and daily routines.
(Az egyszerű jelent állandó helyeknél, ismétlődő tevékenységeknél, és napirendnél használjuk.)
He lives in Madrid. (permanent state)
(Ő Madridban lakik.)
She goes to the cinema on Saturday (repeated action – routine)
(Ő szombatonként moziban megy.) |
