02.16.06 - Pierre's Blog: "Manchester"

Hello everyone,

We are now in Manchester and today is the last day off that we have until the end of the tour.  We have 3 more shows starting tomorrow and then it's back home for Simple Plan.  I'm not exactly sure if I'm happy or sad about that.  The European tour has really been great and all the shows were so much fun to play, the crowds were awesome every night and I think that only 1 or 2 of the shows weren't sold out.  But on the other hand, I really am looking forward to some time off.  It's gonna be nice to spend some time in the same place, to know that you can go to the same grocery store and make something you wanna eat instead of always looking for a restaurant for breakfast lunch and dinner... It'll be nice to sleep in the same bed for a while and to have nothing to do but chill out and relax.

I'm also looking forward to start writing for the new record. I've heard so many bands this last year that have really inspired me  and given me the urge to start writing again.  I have so many ideas that I'm anxious to explore.  I think our next record is gonna be even better than the last... well that's what we are going to attempt to do anyways...

Well that's all for now...  I know this blog is short so I've attached a picture on it to compensate.  It's just me, bored in my hotel room.

P.S. last night we invited MC Lars on stage to play his song "Hot Topic is Not Punk Rock".  It was hilarious.  I think its funny because we never gave a damn about following any punk rock rule book. Like we've always said, we do what we want, when we want, and that's all there is to it.  Everybody else is just taking themselves a little too seriously.
